Warning Signs of a Thunderclap Headache
August 29th, 2008 by admin
Many researchers believe that thunderclap headaches are a warning that a blood vessel may be about to burst in your head. Your doctor will be looking for many potentially dangerous brain abnormalities. These may include a tear around the spinal cord and brain that may be leaking spinal fluid, thus causing a sudden, thunderclap headache. There will also be concerns about a ruptured blood vessel, a blood clot or a tear in an artery leading into the brain, or a bulging blood vessel about to burst. Your doctor should conduct several tests to confirm that there is no major medical problem underlying your thunderclap headache. Most likely they will start with a CT scan. The CT is a computerized type of x-ray that will create cross sectional images of your brain. An MRI, which is a test that uses radio waves and a magnetic field, will also create detailed images of your brain. A spinal tap may be required, which will remove spinal fluid from your body in order to test it for any abnormalities in your white blood cells, or any proteins.

What Is The Correlation Between Rosacea And Lupus?
August 28th, 2008 by admin
rosacea is not actually connected in any way to lupus other than the appearance. A particular form of lupus causes a red rash across the middle of the face. Because of this, it highly resembles rosacea. Sometimes either rash appears smooth. However, if the rash has bumps, remember that a bumpy rash is usually not present in the case of lupus. Lupus will permanently scar your skin also. The symptoms caused by lupus are also different than rosacea symptoms. Lupus causes arthritis, renal, heart, and lung problems, and feverish condition. Many times rosacea victims suffer from redness or rash about their eyes or eyelids. The eyes also look bloodshot and feel as it there is a foreign object in the eye in cases of rosacea.

In Need Of Used Salon Equipment
August 28th, 2008 by admin
It’s finally time to start shopping for used salon equipment. My budget is limited for getting the new business off the ground, so used equipment looks like the best way to go.
I’ve managed to find a good source of Used Salon Chairs at least. That’s a good start. If I can find sources for the rest, I might just have enough money to get started.
I’m really hoping I can find a way to finance this that makes sense. I want to get started sooner rather than later.
More on this soon.

Talking About Dental Assistant Jobs
August 22nd, 2008 by admin
My job stinks. I’ve been thinking of making a change - something that won’t require too much school, but is a cut above bartending. I was told to check out dental assistant jobs. I suppose dealing with bad breath and fillings beats getting groped by drunks.
In particular, I’ve been checking out
The Dental Assistant Association. Salaries vary a lot from one office to the next, but there appears to be a shortage, so prospects are good.
I’m sick and tired of working where I am, so it’s worth looking into a potential change, at least.
Gotta Run for now. More later.

Researching Dental Office Assistant Careers
August 20th, 2008 by admin
Lost my job again. I’ve been thinking of a career change anyway, so it might be for the best. A friend said to check out dental office assistant careers. I’m a bit squeamish, so I’m leery of the idea, but the pay is good and the jobs are stable.
In particular, I really want to know more about Dental Assistant Training. I think it’s worth looking into, seeing as there appears to be a shortage of qualified folks out there.
I can’t wait to ditch my current boss - so it may be worth it to do the training at night or over the weekend.
Until next time.

Complications with acid reflux treatment
August 18th, 2008 by admin
Researchers believe that over time, the acid reflux drugs’ acid-blocking effect could speed up bone loss. Researchers have also found that sleep impairment was common among GERD patients with atypical manifestations compared to GERD patients with only typical symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation. For 88% nighttime atypical manifestations assessed, the proportion of GERD cases reporting sleep impairment was significantly higher for GERD cases with the atypical manifestation compared with GERD cases without the atypical manifestation. Researchers has also found that the only two behavioral changes can reduce symptoms of acid reflux, eating less and elevate your head while sleeping.
