Performing Pilates Exercises

Resistance Bands in Pilates are exercises performed with two sets of eight to twelve reps with light to medium weight. This is done several times week with one day to relax after exercising. It is important to warm up the body before any resistance bands workouts and several minutes after exercising to cool down the body.

There are exact steps designed to be followed in the use of resistance bands in Pilates. They are Unilateral Fly, Unilateral Lateral Raise, Chest Press, Rear Delt, Press ups, Overhead Press, Lateral Pulls, Shoulder Rotation, Bicep Curl, Triceps Extension, Leg Squats, Thigh Exercises and Lunges. For all these kinds, there is a method to be performed by the Pilates. For each type of Pilates exercise with resistance band, a unique feature has to be followed.
